 J. Richard Crossfield, LMHC, MAC  


J. Richard Crossfield, LMHC, MAC has attained certification by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Florida Certification Board, National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals, National  Association of Addiction and Drug Abuse Counselors, Albert Ellis Institute and the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. He maintains a private practice in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

With over 20 years in practice as a Psychotherapist, including 12 years of experience and training at Mayo Clinic, Mr. Crossfield offers expertise in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the treatment of addictive behavior, and organ transplantation.

In addition to his clinical endeavors, Mr. Crossfield has participated in original research studies and is published in peer reviewed professional journals. 

He has held academic posts in the following programs at Mayo Clinic:
     Instructor in Psychiatry, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine
     Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology, Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education

Mr. Crossfield has served in leadership positions in local and national professional organizations and has presented at many professional conferences and workshops.  

Rich is an interactive, collaborative, solution-focused therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide empirically-driven techniques, empathic and caring support, and practical feedback to help clients effectively address their concerns and challenges in life. He integrates a host of complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths to attain the goals they are committed to accomplishing.
